Faile and Bast have completely outdone themselves with their latest installation "Deluxx Fluxx Arcade 2010". 158 Allen Street in NYC has been completely transformed into an street art game room with 10 standing arcades and a black light room with a neon foosball table in the back.

The cabinets (which used original hardware from the 80s and early 90s) were painted and plastered with posters by the artists. Then, Adapted Studio in Brooklyn translated their artwork into a set of 40 game-like interactive pieces and Les Savy Fav supplied the accompanying music. You've got games that allow you to interact with artwork via wheels, joysticks, buttons, and guns. You can even buy custom tokens though a coin machine to take you to special levels or just to take home as a keepsake.

It's such a relief to go to an artists' event where you can interact with the art, actually touch it and have fun. Too much now a days art shows are very sterile and leave little for the fans to take home as an 'experience', but Faile and Bast have taken that concept to the extreme in this amazingly original and completely addictive concept. So thank you guys for not being boring, seriously, thank you.

This past Saturday Alex Pardee and Dave Correia stopped by NYC on their “SKETCH 4 SKETCH Tour: A Nationwide Quest To Exchange Inspiration For Inspiration". The idea behind the tour is that you meet up with them in a city near you and give them a sketch, in return, they will give you a sketch that was inspired by your drawing!

This leg of the tour was the halfway point and NYC fans were treated to a special guest, Tara McPherson. So give one sketch, get 3. No wonder over 200 people lined down the street when the store opened. But nobody walked away empty handed and the guys happily traded sketches for 8.5 hours! They are such amazing people. I love them!

So grab your pens and pencils, make a creation, and don't miss your chance to see Alex and Dave on the SKETCH 4 SKETCH Tour.

This past saturday was the opening of "Take it on the Arches" by Amber Carr. I wasn't really familiar with her work before the show, but I am now! I was so taken away by her work that I am now the happy owner of a piece entitled "What a Pig". She is amazingly talented with acrylics and graphite.

Do yourself a favor and check out "Take it on the Arches", the show is hanging now at Hope Gallery Tattoo through April 30th. There are still original works and limited edition prints available on the Hope Gallery Webstore!

It's been a while but we got back from Asia with only tons of photos and 7 stitches. I just put up the photos of our adventure so you can check them out on my flickr page! Stay tuned for more updates coming on the regular (once I get over the jetlag!)

I know the website just got started, but it's time for Carlos Beast, Huck Gee, and I to venture off to Asia!

We will be going to Cambodia to donate the money raised from the 30 Customs by 30 Artists charity auction from April. I'm really excited to work with various schools and the Siem Reap Children's Hospital during our time there.

In addition to Cambodia we will also be traveling through Laos and Thailand until the end of February.

In 2008 Mist and Tilt came over to my new apartment and gave me the best housewarming present ever – a huge mural on my living room wall.

There were hours of spray paint fumes (we had to open all of the windows to prevent from killing every last braincell we had) but the risk was worth it just to watch Mist and Tilt work together. I had never seen a piece be created from start to finish before, so I was amazed and totally entranced for the 8 hours we spent confined in the room. From that day forward every time I looked at the wall I thought of how much fun we had and how inspired I was watching them work together with little words but such cohesiveness.

We always joked that when I moved we would have to cut out the wall and take it with us. Well, we are moving at the end of the month and concrete isn’t going allow us that luxury. Our landlord told us we had to paint over the wall before we left, it sucked, but we always knew it would not last forever. Nothing ever does, especially in the world of graffiti.

Saturday, December 12th, Jonathan Levine Gallery in NYC opened the doors to unveil Audrey Kawasaki’s latest show, “Hajimari – a prelude”. The show runs through January 9, 2010. Do yourself a favor and check out these amazing pieces in person.
